This particular blog started as a way for everyone to connect to Karen Pettitt and the struggle of her journey against ovarian cancer. Sadly Karen's earthbound journey ended a year ago on August 15, 2009. Curiously my own journey took a downhill turn on August 18, 2010 when a mass was discovered in my right lung during a chest xray for coughing - postappendectomy bronchitis, I thought and originally diagnosed. So the blog becomes my journey.
